This is how we do the initial treatment for our DellPest once a year pest control.
The Attic Baiting barrier is a front line defense to protect against silverfish (which are well known to nest here), roaches, ants, mice and other pest that are likely to inhabit this place. We broadcast a granular type bait across the edges of the attic and in places away from your storage items. This granular consist of 95% attracting agents that are very safe such as corn, wheat, and other ingredients that attract insects in the immediate vicinity. It only takes 5% boric acid to kill the insect once it is in contact with it. A much safer technique than applying pure boric acid that you can buy at stores. This product will protect for a long time since it is unlikely to be washed away or disturbed in your attic.

Wall void treatments are used in our once a yearly program to give you that long lasting protection against the smallest ants to the largest cockroaches. When applied inside the walls the bait goes undisturbed from the customer washing it away or being contaminated with an aerosol or something else. Believe it or not that is where the breeding source of a lot of pest problems exist. The wires in your walls serve as elevators for some of these pest. The great thing is this bait has very low odor and is not likely to harm pets or affect people. Most people do not even know it has been applied when we are done. This product is similar to the product used in the attic as described above. The way that we do this is remove your switch and outlet plates and apply granular inside the walls via the junction box placement on the wall. In roach infestation problems we may apply a small amount of get to the back of the plate out of your site and way. You may think this is a lot of work and may take a while but our goal is to design a system that will last all year for you so that means less visits from the bug man.

Under appliance baiting is to intercept those insects found crawling across the floor and hiding under places such as your refrigerator. We apply the same granular bait as described above in the wall void treatment. We place it directly under so your pets and children can not come in contact with it. This bait is labeled for a wide variety of insects.

Roach gel baiting is what we have found to be the best way to eliminate most roach problems in structures. This product is simply applies as bb size dots in out of the way places around your home such as in cabinets ,closets, plumbing accesses, and in other cracks and crevices least conspicuous to you. This product is also fabulous because customers never complain about odor, vapors, or any chemical evidence in all of our experience. We always hear about the dead roaches after we apply it having to be swept up.

Outside perimeter baiting consist of baiting with granular in mulch areas, shrubs, grass and virtually a ten foot band around the whole perimeter of the structure. This product is a sandy material that blends right in with the soil, that is very effective against a wide variety of insects that forge around in the yard. We know of no cases where this product harms pets and has any affects on humans.

Outside perimeter spraying is first done by sweeping down all cobwebs from outside eaves and around windows. This is done for sanitation so you do not see the matted mess after spraying and also to monitor progress. Then a product that is diluted with water is applied according to label. We will carefully apply this residual spray for a quicker contact kill that will protect against a wide variety of insects. This product is odorless, stain free, and safe to pets and people when applied properly. It is sprayed onto eaves, around windows, along the whole outside wall with a two foot barrier around the foundation, in garages ,carports and sometimes in crawl spaces. At your request we will also spray out buildings, well houses, and other structures on the same property. For most size homes a total of two gallons of solution is applied.

Crawl space baiting is vital for homes that have a crawl space. This is where in a lot of cases problems breed and enter the home. As an initial treatment we apply granular as an even broadcast throughout the whole crawl space .In most cases we use the same product that is applied in attics as described above unless a particular problem requires otherwise.

Specialized treatment is used most of the time on service calls and follow up treatments after the initial treatment. However, when a certain pest problem exist such as rats or mice we may do special baiting during the initial treatment. They're many more techniques and products we use not listed in this initial treatment that may be required to do. Each structure and situation is different and requires a custom plan in every case.
