TERMITE TREATMENT
I. Prep work:
Most of the time is spent preparing to get the chemical where it belongs to be effective.
1. All areas are trenched that are accessible right next to the outside foundation walls. We recommend homeowners make areas easier to get to such as trimming shrubs, removing debris, and any other obstacles that are possible to be moved.
2. Again the 6 inch wide by 6 inch deep trench is demonstrated.
3. Depending on the construction of the structure all slabs must be drilled along expansion joints including garages, dirt filled porches, slab additions, basements, and slabs adjoining the outside walls of the structure such as walk ways, driveways, patios, etc. In slab type homes sometimes the expansion joints can be reached from the outside by horizontally drilling.
4. This shows how the hole looks ( 1/2 inch in most cases) and how far from the walls we drill (about 2 to 4 inches).
5. We are also required to drill in the voids of chimneys. We drill every 12 inches and the depth depends on the type of construction of the structure. Sometimes these voids can be done in crawl spaces.
6. We drill in the voids of piers and hollow block wall foundations when applicable to protect termites from entering from the inside of the hollow void.
7. We trench along all inside crawl space walls and around all piers.
8. We believe that strong communication between team members displays professionalism and a quick effective job.

II. Treating
After all the prep work is done which is most of the work, the actual treating procedures are ready to be done. In most cases the diluted chemicals (according to label) are applied 4 gallons per 10 lineal feet per foot of depth to the footing. In voids it is applied 2 gallons per 10 lineal feet. The PSI is adjusted according to label.
9 . Mixing the chemicals according to label
10. This procedure is called long rodding to get the chemical close to the footing as possible. We insert the rod every 12 inches right inside the trench.
11. We insert the rod to a depth just below the slab to achieve a uniform barrier.
12. Filling the trench according to label and when done back filling the trench and also treating the back fill once is covered back up.
13. Vertically treating under slabs or in chimneys.
14. Pier treating and in hollow block voids.
